i just had a baby, i recently got into biking to work and its getting too easy for me, im biking about 2-4 miles a day. i want to make a fixed gear bike. how can i do this for pretty much free?

    If you want a better work out go for a longer distance and pick up the speed. 2 - 4 miles a day is nothing even on a fixed gear bike.

    If your bike is a multi-gear bike now, the way to make it a single speed for free is to:

    1. shift it to it's highest gear.
    2. do not downshift.

    If you cheat and downshift, for a nominal fee, I will come cut your derailleur cable so you can't shift.
